Wow, it has been quite a season on Riverdale. Season 2 has been one vicious ride with the whole Black Hood story arc. Now we are coming to the end of the season and Betty's suspicions in the last few episodes before 2x21 about her father possibly being the Black Hood, the truth has finally come to the light and he was arrested, but after that, we found out that he is one of many Black Hoods which means that there could be one more, or there could be five more, we just don't know yet. We know from previously that the school janitor is a Black Hood and whether or not he really is one of the Black Hoods or if he was set up I don't know but I feel that the Black Hood story isn't over yet.

 

Another thing in this episode was Jughead, and I didn't want to start off with this because I didn't want to start off with a negative thing (not that the Black Hood is positive. Okayy, maybe I worded that wrong, but you get what I mean). I just want to say my thoughts and opinions that I have on this subject.

 

Now, we have always loved Jughead from the beginning and his relationship with Betty is so sweet just because they love each other so much, but the thing that annoyed me so much about him was when we found out that his dad is in the Serpents gang and when he becomes a Serpent himself he becomes an ass. He sometimes leaves his friends for people whom he considers 'family'. He went on to help them by approaching a woman named Penny, and then he kidnapped her and cut off her Serpent tattoo to create a loophole in the Serpent's rules. This later comes back in a form of karma when Penny wanted to meet up with Jughead and 'talk'. When he got there they released Toni and she left with Cheryl, leaving Jughead with Penny and the Goolies. The Goolies then beat up Jughead to near death and I think that Penny went through with what she said about cutting off his Serpent tattoo with a rusty blade. The episode ends with FP walking out of trees and fog with Jughead in his arms looking dead, if now dead then pretty damn close! To see if Jughead will live or die, we will have to wait for the next episode (the finale) for if Jughead will live and more on the Black Hood story.

 

Is Betty right about her dad being the Black Hood? Is there more than one Black Hood? Will Jughead survive that brutal beating?
